Purpose, Duties and Responsibility of SAC

It is the purpose of the School Advisory Council to advise the Pastor and the School Principle on matters concerning the parish elementary school, to assist in formulating and defining school policy, and to serve as the liaison between the school and the Parish community, which are represented by the members of the School Advisory Council.

When School Advisory Council meets as Pastor, Principal and members and agrees on a policy matter, the decision is effective and binding on all. The School Advisory Council is consultative in the following sense: the members cannot act apart from the Pastor and Principal and cannot make decisions binding for the parish school without approval of the Pastor and Principal.
