Bully Policy

Diocesan Bullying Policy

Our school is dedicated to treating each other with respect and we have a no tolerance policy for bullying of any kind. The Diocese of Toledo has adopted a Bully Policy that we will follow at St. Pat's. Our students sign a "No Bullying" Pledge every year and promise to use the following Four Agreements.

1. I will not bully anyone.

2. I will include anyone who is left out.

3.I will treat others the way I want to be treated.

4.I will tell two adults, one at school and one at home, whenever anyone is being bullied, including me.

The consequences for bullying include the following:

1st offense - Warning, parent notification by student and principal via telephone call.

2nd offense - Principal and counselor will conference with student and parent with a 3 day in-school suspension.

3rd offense - Student must obtain outside counseling with a 5 day out-of-school suspension and conference with principal upon return to school.

4th offense - 10 day out-of-school suspension, possible expulsion. Hearing at the end of 10 days.

In an extreme situation, the principal may impose immediate expulsion.
